The LEGO KidsFest, a giant nationally-traveling LEGO expo, is coming to Arizona for the first time, Friday, July 12 – Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
This hands-on, educational, all-ages LEGO extravaganza features millions
of LEGO bricks not to mention lots of construction zones, dozens of
life-sized LEGO models and displays, LEGO Games, and so much more covering over three acres of space.

Glendale Sugar Beet Factory to Become Upscale Winery

This red-brick behemoth has fascinated me for years, so I was very excited to see an article about it in today's Arizona Republic. The article says that the Sugar Beet Factory has recently been sold to a local entrepreneur who plans on turning the massive building into a liquor distillery and wine tasting establishment.

Southwest Military Transport Show
When: March 21 and 22, 9am to 3pm
Where: Arizona Wing Commemorative Air Force Museum, Falcon Field in Mesa
Greenfield Road and McKellips Road
What: Military vehicle show including jeeps, trucks, and all-terrain vehicles. Swap meet with food. View permanent collection of historic military aircraft.
Cost: $3 to $7 dollars
