Fireworks Display at Deer Valley Park 2017

Jun 24, 2009

Fireworks at Deer Valley ParkStart your weekend off with a bang! Deer Valley Park in North Phoenix will be holding its annual Independence Day celebration on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Although Independence Day will still be a week away, it is traditional for our neighborhood park to start the celebration early. Since many Phoenix residents attend large events like the Fabulous Phoenix 4th, this event is sort of like a warm up for the big day. Besides, you can never see too many fireworks displays!

This "After Dark in the Park" event will also feature local food vendors, bounce houses for children, and free live music.

Tips for Deer Valley Park Fireworks display:
  • Get there early! Parking spaces fill up quickly!
  • Be courteous - do not block driveways in neighborhoods.
  • Please be careful when crossing busy streets such as 19th Avenue.
  • Bring a blanket to sit on.
  • Pick up any trash you bring with you.
I hope you will come out to see the show this weekend!

I am hearing conflicting dates about this event . We called the community center and they said it was on Saturday 6/27/15

Thank you for the updates! I have corrected the dates which are now shown on the City of Phoenix's Parks website.

Very frustrating. Checked the date a couple weeks ago to make plans and it was Friday. Now it is Saturday. Really hope we can still make it.

Thats crap i planned for people to come over to watch the fireworks based on this sites information. I check today and the date changed thanks for keeping ontop of that and ruining my night.

Again, sorry for the mix-up regarding the 2015 dates. The City of Phoenix Parks website (phoenix.gov/parks) definitely said Friday the 26th when I was researching this post, and their website changed the date *after* my article went live. Check the Google Cache from June 20th if you don't believe me. I have amended the article with the correct date.

He is correct - my inlaws had printed the City of Phoenix parks page with the incorrect date a while back and stuck it by their calendar. This is how my wife and kids mistakenly ended up at the park tonight with my inlaws only to find no fireworks. There weren't the only ones who showed up on the wrong date! Take it up with City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation - I will be :)
