Come Stay With Us: Deer Valley Opens 3 New Hotels

In a recent post, I wondered if North Phoenix was expanding fast enough to accommodate nine new banks within two miles of each other. It's a road we'll travel down once more, because this year we have seen three new hotels open up within one mile of each other, for a total of 432 new rooms available in the area.

Marriott Residence Inn Hotel - Phoenix
Marriott Residence Inn Happy Valley Phoenix, AZThe new Residence Inn by Marriott is now open on Whispering Wind Road, right next door to the Courtyard by Marriott. The two properties are located about a half mile off the Interstate 17, so you can sleep soundly away from the roar of traffic. The Residence Inn is a five-story building with 129 guest rooms. It's a no-nonsense kind of place with quality where it counts. Let me explain what I mean.

The hotel has all of its basics covered, with wireless Internet access, hair dryers in the rooms, and an outdoor pool and spa. Where the Residence Inn surprises you is with its attention to detail. They didn't cheap out on the most important things, like beds. The Residence Inn features luxury bedding, which they define as "crisp linens, thicker mattresses, and fluffier pillows."

For the extended stay traveler, the Residence Inn offers kitchenette rooms with a full size refrigerator, microwave oven, stove, and a dishwasher. Of course, you won't be dining on paper plates because the rooms are stocked with dishes, silverware, and pots and pans. The Residence Inn offers all the comforts of home, and is the kind of place you could really settle into.

Marriott Courtyard Hotel - North Phoenix
Marriott Courtyard Hotel in PhoenixLocated right next door to the Residence Inn is the Marriott Courtyard. This hotel features a five-floor layout much like its neighbor, but with 161 guest rooms and 3 suites available. The Courtyard has much to offer the business traveler, with four meeting rooms and 2,639 square feet of meeting space. It features the same luxury bedding and pool as the Residence Inn, but with several extras geared towards the business traveler.

Take for example the large desk with extra outlets, for all of your high tech devices. When you're done working, relax and watch a little cable TV on the 32-inch plasma television. The rooms at the Courtyard were designed to be comforting and luxurious, which is why you'll find granite countertops and tile showers in select rooms. Talk about classy!

Hilton Garden Inn Hotel - Phoenix
New Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Phoenix, AZEarlier this year, the Hilton Garden Inn at Happy Valley opened its doors to guests. Located in the Center Pointe retail center, the Hilton Garden Inn is easily accessible from I-17 at the Pinnacle Peak Road exit. This four-story bungalow features 126 rooms, 13 suites, and an outdoor pool.

The Hilton Garden Inn has got to be the classiest hotel in the area. It bridges the gap between a standard nightly hotel and a luxury resort and features many amenities unheard of for a hotel of its size.

Besides the usual high speed Internet, coffee maker, and daily newspaper, the Hilton features rooms with an adjustable king-size bed which they call the "Garden Sleep System." For entertainment, 26-inch flat panel televisions with on-demand movies and games are standard fare. In addition to the many casual dining restaurants in the area, the hotel has its own restaurant, the Great American Grill, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Business travelers will appreciate a spacious work desk with adjustable lighting and Herman Miller ergonomic office chairs. The alarm clock even has a dock for your MP3 player! The grandest feature of all is the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry, which is stocked with snacks and drinks for your convenience. This place lives up to the standard of the Hilton name in every way.

Summary
It's clear that these new hotels are offering more than just a place to rest your head. What they represent is the welcoming hospitality that North Phoenix has to offer travelers and business professionals alike. The message is clear: Come and stay with us!
