Phoenix Weekend Event Calendar

Feb 20, 2009

If there's nothing on your calendar this weekend, I would strongly encourage you to make some plans and get out of the house. The weather's going to be great and as usual, there are plenty of interesting events going on in the greater Phoenix area!

Scottsdale Pavilions Car Show
When: Saturday 4:30pm to 10pm
There's no better way to get your weekend revved up than by checking out some of Arizona's hot rods and cool customs at the weekly Pavilions car show. Stop by the Loop 101 and Indian Bend Road in Scottsdale around sundown and check out the McDonald's parking lot for all the action.

Fountain Hills Great Fair
When: Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sunday 8am to 5pm
Over 400 artists will have their works on display this weekend at the annual Great Fair in Fountain Hills, Arizona. There will also be food, fun, and free parking! Check out the official website for more details.

Matsuri: A Festival of Japan
When: Saturday and Sunday 10:30am to 4:40pm
East meets West in this annual Japanese festival at Heritage and Science Park in downtown Phoenix. You'll find food, entertainment, and all kinds of exhibits in this celebration of Japanese culture. Be sure to check out the Japanese Friendship Garden as well! Check out the Arizona Matsuri website for details.

I should mention that all three events are completely FREE to attend, so get out there and see what Phoenix has to offer!
